Tests – A test will be given at the end of each unit. A review sheet will be given before the test. At the end of each nine week period, a test will be given covering the material from that period. Absences – If your child is absent, he or she is responsible for obtaining any missed assignments. A dated assignment bin will be present in class at all times. After returning to class, the student has three days to complete and turn in the work. Any projects or assignments due on the day of the absence will be due the day the student returns. The homework hotline is available at 512-556-HWHL or texashistory7@ lampasas.k12.tx.us. Make-Up Work – If a student is absent, he or she has three days to complete the missing work. After three days, the work will be considered “Late”. Late Work – Late work will receive a ten point deduction per day for up to three days. If the work has not been turned in after three days, arrangements will be made for the student to complete the work in an after school detention. Students who do not attend the scheduled academic detention will receive a grade of “0” for the missing work. Homework – All work will be done in class. If a student does not finish the assigned class work, then the work will become homework and will be due at the beginning of class the following day, unless otherwise noted. Any work received after the first fifteen minutes will considered late work and receive a deduction of 10 points. Conferences should be scheduled for students with grade averages below 70%. Classroom Expectations / Rules 1. Prompt: Be in your assigned seat / area ready to work when the tardy bell rings. 2. Prepared: Bring binder, pencil, book, and other need materials to class every day. (No colored notebook paper or colored ink pens)3. Polite: No profanity, rude, or inappropriate gestures, cruel teasing, or harassment. 4. Personal: Keep hands, feet, and all objects to yourself. 5. Productive: Follow all faculty and staff directives as well as all Lampasas Middle school and LISD policies. The students are expected to do their own work. Cheating will not be tolerated and a grade of 0 will result from the incident.Food and drinks are not allowed in the classroom and chewing gum is not allowed on campus.
